Sustainable Filming Course
Taught by ESCAC within the OFF ESCAC program in collaboration with Outlabs Training
This course offers comprehensive training for professionals interested in leading sustainable practices in audiovisual productions, from short films to large film shoots.
Throughout the course, you will learn to identify the main environmental impacts of a production, design strategies to reduce waste and energy consumption, implement sustainable protocols and communicate good practices to the technical and artistic team.

Objectives
Understand the principles of sustainability in audiovisual production: You will learn the key concepts of sustainability and how to apply them in each stage of a production.
Reduce the environmental impact of productions: You will discover practical strategies to minimize waste, optimize resources and reduce carbon emissions in filming and post-production processes.
Adapt the best sustainability practices to each project: You will learn about tools such as production plans and green certifications, adapting them to the specific needs of your productions.
Increase your employability in a growing sector: You will develop skills that will position you as a professional trained to lead the transition towards more sustainable cinema.
Foster a cultural change in the audiovisual sector: You will learn to positively influence your teams and collaborators so that they adopt responsible and sustainable habits in their work practices.
Experiment with practical dynamics and real cases: You will put into practice what you have learned through dynamic exercises, simulations and the analysis of successful cases in sustainable production.

Presentation of evaluable final project
Access Requirements
Over 16 years of age.
Be a community citizen (hold the nationality of any of the EU Member States) or be a non-EU citizen residing in Spanish territory.
A basic level in audiovisual production is required

100% Subsidized €150 Deposit
Conditions
Deposit payment of €150, which will be returned only if you pass the course.
To pass the course, the following two conditions must be met: attendance of more than 80% of the classes and a favorable evaluation of the final project.

Environmentalist
Graduated in Environmental Sciences by vocation, under the belief that a more sustainable world was possible. He delved into the concept of "sustainability" through a research project that laid the foundations for the Observatory of Sustainability and Global Change of the Fuerteventura Biosphere Reserve, designing a first system of indicators. Later, he continued researching this topic while continuing to train me in the management of protected natural spaces and participatory themes.
