Digital image technician

The launch of this workshop has been motivated by the growing demand for specific training in the Canary Islands in which Outlabs Training has sought to bring the figure of the digital image technician (DIT) closer. Specifically, in this training, the necessary tools have been provided for technicians and professionals in the camera department, both film and advertising, to acquire the necessary skills that allow them to function with ease in any of the stages of work, from knowledge of the cameras used to handling the software and material necessary to carry out the work in the most effective way possible.

Theory and practice module in studio:

Description of data management and Dit functions, from pre-production, choosing equipment according to the project, recommended settings for shooting, image control and viewing, dumping, creation of LUTS and visual style files, colour correction, daily viewing copies, editing and delivery.

Objectives

Knowledge and development of the work of the Digital Image Technician (DIT), an essential but relatively recent position in the filming of series and films, practically operating with the usual equipment and tools of the trade.

Translation of said work to the teaching projects to be developed with the students.

Knowledge and operation of the Sony FS7 MII camera provided in educational centers.

Learn a workflow with 4K XAVC-I files with different gamma curves depending on the scenes, from their capture on camera to their delivery to Post-production.

Creation of HD proxies and LUTs.
